Yum Yum Yum.
Grilled cheese has always been a favourite of mine. Now, with my refined, adult taste buds I add a little more pizazz to the ol' standby.
Two slices of whole grain bread
lots of aged cheddar cheese (if kids want to help, grate it instead of cut it)
spread a layer of pesto on one side (I like President's Choice)
a couple of thin slices of tomato
Then to dip, I reach for salsa; less sugar and more veggies.
But, if you can't skip the ketcup... cut the sandwich in two, diagonally. Angle it open, so it looks like a mouth and with the ketchup draw in some teeth and an eye. Grrrrr. Dinosaur grilled cheese!
